DAWSON -- Flora May Dismuke Harrell, 88, of Parrott went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Funerals services were held at graveside in the Parrott City Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 13, 2012. Rev. Raymond Smith and Rev. Richard Gill officiated. A visitation was held at Harvey Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
May was born in Parrott on December 5, 1923 to the late Robert Owen Dismuke and the late Charlie Addie Hughes Dismuke. She lived in Terrell or Webster County all her life and was married to the late William Clarence Harrell. May was a member of the Parrott Baptist church where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the WMU, a GA Leader and Sunday School Director.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and three brothers. Survivors include daughters, Susie Etheredge (Mike) of Parrott and Flora Bryant (Ron) of Cochran; son, Terry Harrell (Diane) of Preston; brother, Emmett Dismuke of Jacksonville, NC; grandchildren, George Etheredge of Columbus, Jennifer Howard (Tye) of Atlanta, Lauren Singletary (Shane) of Eastman, Meredith Bryant of Athens, Jessie Heath of Preston and Shelby Harrell of Preston; great-grandchildren, Jared and Jacob Singletary of Eastman and several nieces and nephews.
