Mr. and Mrs. James Nolan Spence of Leesburg, GA are

pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter

Kearstin Abby Spence of Leesburg, GA to Blake David Alston

of Carrollton, GA. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Leighton Alston of Roopville, GA.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Jack Knighton

Spence and the late Mrs. Hazel Dyes Spence of Albany, GA

and Mr. and Mrs. Herb Coston of Leesburg, GA. She is a

2007 graduate of Lee County High School, and a 2011

graduate of the University of West Georgia, where she

earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood education.

She is currently pursuing her masters in Teaching of the

Deaf and Hard of Hearing through Valdosta State University.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Clara Cann and

the late Mr. Jack Cann of Anderson, SC and the late Mr.

and Mrs. Otis Alston of Carrollton, GA. He is a 2008 graduate

of the University of West Georgia, where he earned a

bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing.

The wedding is planned for May 12, 2012 at First United

Methodist Church in Carrollton, GA.
