ALBANY -- Matt Breedon apparently changed his mind and decided to stay in the Dougherty County Judicial Circuit, according to his boss.
District Attorney Greg Edwards said that Breedon agreed to remain here and become chief assistant district attorney instead of taking a position in Athens. He could not be reached immediately for comment.
Heather Lanier, the former chief assistant district attorney, worked her last day Friday after resigning. She begins working at the South Georgia Judicial Circuit on January 30.
