Two burglary arrests made

ALBANY, Ga. — The Albany Police Department Property Unit announced Monday the arrest of two burglary suspects.

Cameron Cox, 17, was arrested for burglary and entering an auto, and Tobey Cox, 22, was taken in for an outstanding warrant with additional charges pending.

Information was received on Thursday in reference to Cameron Cox’s whereabouts, and the APD Property Unit, along with the Uniform Bureau and Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit, responded to his home at 1705 Parker Ave.

Both Cameron Cox and Tobey Cox were at the residence and taken into custody for questioning. Detectives recovered stolen property from four burglaries and two entering autos that occurred recently in the west Albany area.

Cameron Cox was charged with several counts of burglary and entering autos, while Tobey Cox was arrested on an unrelated outstanding warrant with additional charges pending.

Both men were transported to the Dougherty County Jail.
