CAMILLA — The Camilla Chamber of Commerce has finalized plans for its annual Southern Rivers Fine Arts Exposition scheduled Feb. 5-9.
The show has evolved over the years, beginning as an exhibition and sale of visual art in a gallery-style juried art show.
Applications of almost 30 artists have been accepted this year for the exposition.
Participating are Kirby Gregory from Albany, Larry Smith from Tallahassee, Fla., Donna McMinn from Marietta, Virginia Lowman from Hartsfield, Walter Hobbs from Valdosta, Dot Dowling from Albany, Anna C. Carlton from Moultrie, Don Fisher from Albany, Carole Hall Gum from Albany, India Jernigan from Donalsonville, Patricia Page from Albany andBetty Ramsey from Albany.
Also taking part are Janice Rentz from Albany, Buck Taylor from Bluffton, Larry Gene Williams from Camilla, Doug Wolfe from Leesburg, Thomas Thomson from Havana, Fla., Shirley A. Robinson from Sylvester, D. Arthur McBride from Havana, Jean Marani from Tallahassee, Martin Loyley from Shellman, Henrietta Ladson from Albany, Rebecca Hendrix from Pelham, Donna May Hatcher from Baconton, Bertha R. Gunter from Camilla, Richard Fulghum from Moultrie, Barbara DeLung from Albany and Warren Brackmann from Cairo.
The artwork will be on display Feb. 5-9 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., offering school classes, civic clubs and other groups opportunities to view the exhibit.
Evening viewings may also be scheduled.
