ALBANY, Ga. — The Dougherty County Police Department is soliciting the public’s help in catching someone who has reportedly been stealing items from the Dougherty County Public Works building on Habersham Road.
Sgt. Chad Kirkpatrick said that, since August, there has been someone stealing gasoline and car batteries from the vehicles stationed at the public works building.
The suspect has taken seven to 10 batteries, and 50-75 gallons of gas and has been on the property once every couple of weeks, Kirkpatrick said.
Surveillance video has been taken from the property, leading officials to look for a black male in connection to the case. Anyone with information on the case may call DCPD at (229) 430-6600.
