Police/Fire/EMS - Jan. 31, 2012

ALBANY -- The Albany Police Department responded to at least 50 incidents Saturday, Sunday and the early hours of Monday. The reports included:

-- Theft by taking on the 700 block of Mobile Avenue and on the 3000 block of Winterwood Avenue;

-- Criminal trespass on the 2700 block of Ledo Road and on the 700 block of West Second Avenue;

-- Disorderly conduct on the 2700 block of Gillionville Road and on the 700 block of North Westover Boulevard;

-- Missing juvenile on the 600 block of West Society Avenue and on the 1800 block of Gillionville Road;

-- Deceased person on the 100 block of Adelyn Road;

-- Burglary at Kia of Albany on East Oglethorpe Boulevard. The complainant stated that someone had broken into a detailing shed on the property and made off with several items between 6 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. The case remains active.

-- Driving with a suspended license on the 2400 block of Sylvester Road;

-- Domestic dispute (unfounded) on the 500 block of Flint Avenue and on the 600 block of 10th Avenue;

-- Vandalism, assault on the 600 block of Willis Drive;

-- Theft by shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

-- Criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree on the 600 block of Jefferies Avenue and on the 1000 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

-- Unruly child on the 700 block of Partridge Drive;

-- Assault on the 900 block of West Residence Avenue and on the 2300 block of Pebble Beach Court;

-- Simple battery on the 600 block of Haley Street on the 1400 block of East First Avenue;

-- Interference with a city officer on the 100 block of Georgia Power Road;

-- Public indecency (saggy pants) on the 2500 block of Nottingham Way and on the 700 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard. In the West Oglethorpe Boulevard incident, the person in question was also wanted for possession of marijuana and contempt of court.

-- Recovered contraband on the 2000 block of Schilling Avenue;

-- Child molestation report on the 500 block of West Lincoln Avenue and on the 200 block of West Tift Avenue;

-- Terroristic threats and acts on the 1000 block of West Highland Avenue;

-- Recovered property on the 200 block of Mitchell Avenue;

-- Giving a false name on the 900 block of Crawford Drive;

-- Assault, theft on the 800 block of Holland Drive.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 30 calls from Thursday through Monday. The available reports included unauthorized burnings, a tree on a power line, a Dumpster fire, trash fires, EMS assistance and grass fires.
