We live in a city separated by a great divide. This chasm has made a negative impact on our educational system, our economic health and the general welfare of our citizens. The chasm grows each time we make decisions based on race instead of ability.
We can make a way across, but the work will be difficult. It requires personal sacrifice, sometimes courage, and it happens slowly, one timber at a time. When several people join us, the bridge begins to grow. The path across is sturdier, more secure. People are able to cross, carefully at first, and then with more confidence because the bridge is larger now.
I am interested in a candidate's personal and professional integrity and in their ability to do the job. Lane Price is a woman of great heart and sterling character. She has given herself to her patients, and to this community as a dedicated physician. In the same zealous manner, she will contribute to our children. She will make wise decisions and she will plan ahead. She will think of new ways to address difficult problems and study situations thoroughly. We will trust her vote and her voice. She will represent us all and will work to do what is in the best interest of the children she loves so much, the teachers she values, and the community at large.
Pull the Democratic lever to elect Lane Price to the at-large position on the Dougherty County School Board. The bridge will be a little sturdier, a little wider and a little safer for all of us to cross.
