Police/Fire/EMS report for July 6, 2012

ALBANY, Ga. — Albany police responded to at least 54 incidents Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Theft by taking on the 300 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Entering auto on the 500 block of South Harding Street and two calls to the 200 block of Waverly Avenue;

— Injured person on the 2700 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Missing juvenile on the 1900 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 2400 block of Hemlock Drive;

— Financial transaction card theft on the 2100 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Recovered property, cell phone on the 100 block of Liberty Expressway, a handgun on the 800 block of North Jefferson Street and a BB gun on the 300 block of Mock Road;

— Disorderly conduct on the 1900 block of West Highland Avenue and the 300 block of Pine Avenue;

— Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana on the 100 block of Pine Avenue;

— Interference with police officer on the 100 block of Front Street;

— Burglary on the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue, the 1500 block of Georgia Avenue, the 100 block of Wescott Lane, the 400 block of Alice Avenue, the 500 block of Louis Avenue and the 1600 block of Whiting Drive;

— Battery (domestic) on the 500 block of Jeffries Avenue;

— Assault (domestic) on the 300 block of Mock Road, the 1900 block of Palmyra Road and the 200 block of Pine Bluff Road;

— Assault, criminal trespass, theft by taking (domestic) on the 600 block of Sands Drive.

DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 64 calls Wednesday.

There were 43 medical calls, 20 trauma calls and one assist Albany Fire Department call. Medical Calls and trauma calls included, but were not limited to, seven respiratory, five chest pains, three mental health, 9 various medical, 10 vehicle crash victims and five falls.

ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to 25 incidents, including five activated fire alarms, fire safety program, smoke odor, box in building on fire, two power lines down, vehicle fire two false alarms, clothes pile on fire, vehicle crash, electric short, overheated air conditioner, unattended cooking, set up for Fourth of July, propane tank on grill exploded, two unauthorized burns and two trash bin fires.
