ALBANY — There’s been a change of managers at Procter and Gamble’s Albany plant, said Vince Falcione, external relations manager. Bella Lewis, plant manager since 2009, is on her way to Moscow.

According to Falcione, it’s Procter & Gamble’s policy to rotate plant managers after three years. While Lewis was a long-term company employee, the Albany plant manager’s role had been her first. Falcione was not specific as to the duties Lewis would perform at the Russian plant, saying only it would be a “different role” for Lewis.

Falcione said the new plant manager is Fidel Torres, originally from Peru. Torres has served as manager in several plants, all of them outside the United States.

The P&G plant in Albany is a paper-making facility and is one of the area’s largest employers.
