I am sending this note in support of Dr. Lane Price's election campaign for the Dougherty County School Board. I have known Dr. Price for a number of years as she practiced radiation oncology for more than three decades. On numerous occasions, she has provided care for patients in our department. At the present time, she is doing a superb job running Albany Community Hospice. I can speak very highly of her on both the personal and professional levels. She has the highest integrity, work ethic and interpersonal skills of practically anyone I know.
As I am sure you are aware, having a good school board is mandatory to having a good school system. Without a good school system, not only are our children shortchanged, but we will continue to have a difficult time in attracting new businesses to this county. Given the sad state of affairs they we have all seen highlighted all to often in The Albany Herald, it seems to me that we need a change in management. Consequently, I wholeheartedly and without any reservation support Dr. Lane Price's campaign and I would urge my fellow citizens to do likewise.
