PAVO -- Elizabeth Branch Snider, 88, of Pavo, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Unihealth at Magnolia Manor South.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Born October 23, 1923 in Pavo, she was the daughter of the late John James Branch and Minnie Crosby Branch. She made her home in Albany until she and her husband retired to her family farm near Pavo in 1977. She was a dedicated member of the Women's Missionary Society, now known as the United Methodist Women. She taught adult Sunday School in Albany for many years at Avalon United Methodist Church and later at Southern Methodist Church. Her longtime church home was Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lewis Snider, one brother, and two sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Woolf and husband, Steven, of Charlotte, NC; one grand-daughter, Elizabeth Ann Woolf and husband, Craig Hooker, of Norfolk, VA; two nieces, Virginia Russell of Moultrie and Theresa Schmid of Live Oak, FL; a nephew-in-law, Joseph Sports, of Conyers, GA; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
