ALBANY, Ga. -- Three people are being sought, two of whom are wanted for questioning, in connection with pending investigations, officials with the Albany Police Department say.
Martavis Deyon McWhorter, 23, is wanted in connection with a financial transaction card fraud incident that took place on June 25 at 4:24 p.m. on the 2500 block of Canterbury Court, police officials say.
In that case, the victim's car was broken into while parked at her residence. Her wallet was stolen, and her bank card was used at multiple locations, officials say.
Two suspects were identified in the course of the investigation, one of whom is already in the Dougherty County Jail. McWhorter is believed to be the other suspect. He is described as a black male who is 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs 173 pounds.
His last known address is 1906 Keystone Ave., officials say.
In addition to McWhorter, two other individuals are wanted for questioning in connection with separate incidents.
Detectives believe Christopher Simmons may have information that could be helpful in the investigation of a burglary, armed robbery and aggravated assault that occurred on July 8 at 1511 Cordell Ave.
Officers responded to the location that day in reference to a person who was shot in the face. They made contact with the victim, who had a minor facial wound to his left cheek area.
The victim stated that six black males came to his house, and as he was running away, one of the suspects shot him in the face, reports on the incident show.
Detectives also believe Barbara Regina Coleman may have information that could be helpful in the investigation of an aggravated assault that occurred on July 7 at the South Side Pool Room at 310 W. Highland Ave.
The victims in the case reported that they were physically assaulted while walking through an alley behind the business. Witnesses stated that they saw several people in the alley at the time of the assault.
Coleman is 30 years old. She is 5-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs approximately 168 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Her last known address is 1125 Avalon Ave., police officials say.
