91-year-old woman’s residence burglarized

ALBANY, Ga. — Patrol and unmarked cars boxed in three juveniles on the 600 block of South Shadowlawn Drive at Lincoln Avenue as officers put them in handcuffs after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
The three juveniles were reportedly burglars who victimized a 91-year-old woman by stealing her flat-screen television, two purses with about $30 in cash and her medication in them, along with her 2001 Mercury Marquis from her 1400 Jones Avenue residence.
The thieves broke into the house through a side door after the woman had retired at about 9 p.m. Less than 17 hours later and less than a mile away, the suspects were cuffed and in custody.
Because they are juveniles the police did not disclose their names. Police continue to search for the vehicle.
