ALBANY -- Mrs. Helen Virginia Donahoue, 92, of Albany, passed away July 16, 2012 at her residence and in the presence of her children.

She was the sweet and devoted mother of Michael Donahoue of the Republic of Panama, Patricia Donahoue-Knapp of Albany and Sandy McDonald of Worth County. She was a caring and beloved grandmother to Brenda Jo Yearlicks of Melbourne, FL, Jessica Walden of Doerun, Leslie Knapp of Leon, Mexico, Cristy Clawson of Augusta, Patty Donahoue-Sierra, Mitch Donahoue and Luiggi Donahoue all of the Republic of Panama, Anthony Sotolongo of Sarasota, FL and Michael Martinez of Ogden, UT; she is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and one sister, Velma Short of Joelton, TN.

Born on May 11, 1920 to Herman and Beulah Spain of Joelton, TN, she was preceded in death by brothers, Leon and Donald Spain of Joelton, TN and a sister, Margaret Everett.

Mrs. Donahoue was employed for many years at Albany Drug Company in East Albany. She will be remembered for her cheerful out look on life, her gentle nature and kind hearted ways.

Her remains have been cremated at her request and the family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
