Squawk of the Day - July 18, 2012

"Obama wants all citizens to be dependent on the government. He holds successful business owners in disdain because they have broken the chains of dependence. They are “free thinkers,” and those types are dangerous to his hopes of a socialist government. Sounds like the infancy of every dictatorship in the world."

Give it up, we're all doomed! Da Corch is still going to vote for Obuma. Just thought I'd give everybody a heads up.

2

Abytaxpayer 1 year, 9 months ago

How do you tell a Romney supporter from an Obama supporter?

Romney supporters sign their checks on the front.

Obama supporters sign them on the back.

5

sogalakesue 1 year, 9 months ago

He is a disgrace to every hard working American.

1

FryarTuk 1 year, 9 months ago

You can have them both, Hairspray Mit and Baldy Barack! The only difference in them is slight variation of skin pigment. Any body that thinks Romney is anything but a liberal (and we're not talking moderate here) doesn't know about his record as a politician. Typically, as all politicians, he says one thing for media consumption and then follows his extreme liberal agenda. He clearly says he does not like Ronald Regan, that he is for gay unions, he supported abortion. Romney's plan for socialized medicine in MA was so liberal even the left wingers were embarrassed. The 'lustrus president fashioned Obummercare after Romneycare. Then when Romney ran for the US Senate - oh brother. This guy tried to out-Ted Ted Kennedy. Write in Ron Paul! He's your man, if he can't do it nobody can.

1

waltspecht 1 year, 9 months ago

One more time it will be a vote for whatever we consider the lesser of two evils. Don't throw your vote away by not voting. That is what all the politicians are counting on. The big uninvolved mass that is registered, but doesn't think voting will change things. It's time there was a max turnout. Just to show the rescals we are watching. Enforce term limits with your ballot, as we can't seem to get the Politicians to vote term limits for themselves. Accountability is sadly lacking in politics, to the point where we really expect them to be lying every time they open their mouth.

3

FryarTuk 1 year, 9 months ago

Walt, there is more than a choice for evil and more evil. If we continue to lick the hands and hand-outs of the established political parties we are playing their game. Both parties are tied to extreme constituencies that join in the back part of the circular spectrum. Until as an electorate we break out of two party addiction why should the political parties. They won't because their view is, "where else will they go?" Write-in. Break the mold! Vote RON PAUL. And by the way, term limits may be a great idea but there are term limits on the presidency - two terms. It hasn't made any difference because the parties have us trapped. Write in for RON PAUL!

0

waltspecht 1 year, 9 months ago

My whole family voted for Perot. I have often felt I was part of the cause of that lost election. I have to vote for someone I think stands a chance. Ron Paul doesn't from what I can see. I consider a write in for him to be a vote for the current incumbant.

3

MisterEd 1 year, 9 months ago

Walt - I did the same thing back in 92, and I also feel like I wasted my vote. Perot siphoned off votes that could have stopped Clinton from being elected. I've often wondered the true reason as to why he bailed out at the last minute like he did.

1

Sister_Ruby 1 year, 9 months ago

You two are exactly, precisely right. Vote for Romney or Obama. One of them will win. Anything else is narcissism.

0

Shinedownfan 1 year, 9 months ago

yep, throwing your vote away, fryartuk. You might as well be like da corch and vote for obama, cause if people think like you, obama will be back in the white house and America will be no more...

4

chinaberry25 1 year, 9 months ago

I am not wasting my vote for Ron Paul. A vote for him is a vote for Obama. We know what he will do, Romney is yet to be seen. I am also not voting for a single person in office, including the commissioners of Lee Co. I may waste my vote, but at least I have voted. I am voting NO on the T-Splosh. We already pay a 1 cent tax on roads for 8 more years. Albany needs a vote for the sewer system. When will that be improved?

3

TheBoss 1 year, 9 months ago

I am voting yes for the T splost. Each and every person will have to pay that 1% Fair Tax. That way the Da Corch and bubbvetrurel and others that get the free handouts can help with paying for improvements.

0

Bubbavet_rureel 1 year, 9 months ago

I pay my share of taxes, keep taxing me and I'll keep screaming!!

0

RedEric 1 year, 9 months ago

Ron Paul will do the most good where he is now, in congress. Congress writes all of the spending bills and other laws. Most of what Bush is blamed for was enacted by Democratic congress, Frank/Dodd for the housing debacle. Presidents usually don't change law on their own like this guy does. i.e. Amnesty for illegals and environmental laws(I forget the name). This president is a progressive and progressives taught communists and nazis how to control people. Pit groups of people against each other and they won't notice while you take away all of their rights and gain control of every aspect of their lives. You gotta admit this group with the president is pretty good at it.

2

FryarTuk 1 year, 9 months ago

Ron Paul needs to have the bully pulpit of the presidency. The USA needs Ron Paul in the bully pulpit of the presidency. In Congress he has been smothered and will continue to be by the two parties that are self-serving, as all political parties become when they do not have to be critically measured. The USA needs a spokes person who has absolutely as little ego involved as possible. Ron Paul is as honest of a fellow as you will find. Tell both political cults to jump in the lake, write-in Ron Paul. Whatever BO is just duplicate it with a little less tan and you got Romney. Write-in Ron Paul and make your vote count for America. He's the only VET running. He's the only one that's seen combat. Ron Paul is your man. BO is a Chicago racketeer and Hairspray Mitt speaks French (where he went on deferment and lived in a castle for 3 years rather than go to Viet Nam). He tied his dog to the top of his car and drove 6 hours for goodness sake. When the dog got sick and pooped on top of the car, he made his family sit in the car and he hosed the dog and car down. He bragged about that incident. Only a stinking far left nut would do something like that. They've been hosing us for years. He's not an alternative to BO he's a duplicate with a sheen. Ron Paul is the only alternative.

BLA. BLA. BLA... What we really need is for someone honest to file to run for school board in Velvet Williams's district. Whoever is elected president will make little difference in the lives of people here. Someone needs to step up.

3

bigbob 1 year, 9 months ago

The bottom line is that Obumma will always be supported in Albany because he is the foodstamp prez & skin color. Free bees in Albany is all that matters. Heck he could run for DCSS school board he would fit right in.

2

Shinedownfan 1 year, 9 months ago

Maybe Albany... but hopefully the rest of Georgia will be smart enough to vote Romney. :)

2

Jimboob 1 year, 9 months ago

You are correct. Georgia is a red state and will be won by the republicans. We will hardley know an election is taking place because the republicans won't waste money on a state the know they own and the democrats won't because it won't do any good.

Hey Coach, What are your credentials??? Where did you graduate college??? You and Obama seem to have troubles providing information. You seriously cannot be influencing young people as idiotic as you present yourself.

1

What are your credentials for lying on the President?

0

Sister_Ruby 1 year, 9 months ago

I would think the Secret Service would not allow anybody to "lie on the President".

Did you expect anything other than this BS, Rock? Guess this confirms what we all know about da corch.

0

No, I did not epect anything different!!! I still stay that this ignorant A$$ is a pre-teen pretending to be someone else. His comment on credentials prove that he is not educated by any means and is POSING to be a coach. He should be banned from any contact with children under the age of 17 and only after he passes a competency test.

Why are you in SW GA? ASU prof? ATech, Darton?

0

FryarTuk 1 year, 9 months ago

Honor, honesty and less government - Ron Paul for president. Mitt is socialized medicine and chamelon king. OBie is the Chicago racketeer boss. Standup for America and transparent govenment the Democrats and Republicans are self-serving bums who will sell their birthrights for a bowl of oil. Make America independent and strong again! Vote Ron Paul. He's the only vet running. He's the only one with any combat experience!

0

erudite 1 year, 9 months ago

Dependent of the government? Does the squawker mean for assistance or for protection from national enemies? I rather like having a defense system although war is stupid.

The more and more laws that are enacted by local and state governments about dress, receiving assistance, curfews, bodily choices, the more and more citizens are controlled by government, not dependent. The Feds are not making these laws; local and state officials are and GA citizens vote for them. Feds make laws about commerce, deleterious behaviors, transportation, and other national concerns. That is the UNITED part.

When will GA become the land of the free?

0

Sister_Ruby 1 year, 9 months ago

Here is where the "land of the free" mindset leads to when local governments do nothing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPq0O9wa4pQ&has_verified=1

Not to mention Albany GA's "fireworks incident". Need more evidence?

0

erudite 1 year, 9 months ago

So you want more government controls on behaviors but not at the national level, is this correct? BTW, since the entire link isn't posted, I can't view the video.

0

Sister_Ruby 1 year, 9 months ago

Just click on it. It works when I click on it. Can you click on it? Just click on it.

Or if you can't click on it, just google: Wal-Mart Jacksonville Flash Mob. Can you google? Just google it.

0

Sister_Ruby 1 year, 9 months ago

The most control that we citizens have is LOCAL so, yes make it local.

0

erudite 1 year, 9 months ago

Ok, I see. Yes, I can click on the link but I receive a mesage that parameters are unknown.. I saw the flash mob and the shooting videos.

I wish the south had seceded.

0

Sister_Ruby 1 year, 9 months ago

Well in actual fact she (the South) DID secede which was absolutely within her rights. But she was attacked, made war against, and defeated in the War of Northern Aggression. That was when the Federal Government turned the corner and began to become the bloated MONSTER with unlimited appetitie for OUR money that it is today. Or did you mean "succeed"?

0

erudite 1 year, 9 months ago

Specifically, I meant succeed at seceding. Didn't the Rebs blow up the Fort in Charleston? Was it the south that cast the first stone? Maybe Sherman should have burned everything.

0

willie 1 year, 9 months ago

How about all of you posting here on a daily basis get together at the mall and have a flash mob party and just beat each other, I mean let those ill feelings out. My God in heaven, don't you people have anything better to say of one another?

0

Shinedownfan 1 year, 9 months ago

Sister Ruby is brilliant, I love her humor and wit, and I enjoy her well thought out comments, which make alotta sense to me! I like reading Walt's comments, and he doesnt hide behind usernames like the rest of us do. VSU, dont ever change, you are right on the money with your comments!

How's that, willie?

1

VSU 1 year, 9 months ago

Some people disagree what I say, but hey, it is what it is. Thanks SDFD.

0

Shinedownfan.....I blush at your comments but I also must not take false credit. As a Major Prophetess.....all I can do is pass on what I receive. To God Be The Glory! NoBama 2012!!

Dear Willie. Feel free not to click on the comment section if it gets your panty liner all out of whack.

WHAT HAVE YOU SAID THAT IS BETTER? YOU SUGGEST GOING TO THE MALL AND BEAT EACH OTHER UP? YOU SIR, ARE A MORON. THERE, I LET OUT MY ILL FEELINGS WITHOUT A TRIP TO THE MALL.

I guess some people support these flash mob parties, shows their mentality level.

One, Two, Three, vote -------------Obama!

Again, One, Two, Three, vote -----------------Riggins!

Obama want everyone to be treated fair, we all want a peace of the American pie. I want Ice Cream with my pie.

The Real Deal is back in town, what have you let them do Coach?

I will be responding all night to these negative comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

0

Progressive 1 year, 9 months ago

Again, more racist dribble from the dumb masses. The problem is when the FACTS are presented, the self-righteous left want to throw mud back in your eyes trying to get you to look the other way so they can pick your pocket. Prime example is Riggins getting caught taking from the poor. The Repubs are tyring to protect our freedoms, and Obama has repeatedly shown he wants to become a dictator. Obama has done more harm in splitting this country than any previous Pres. You just have to look deeper than his surface prompter spin.

0

coachjohnson42 1 year, 9 months ago

I'm here Bubba....I had to work late, so please excuse my delay...I'm here to fight the right winged extremist with you my friend!!! Bring it on REPUBS!!!! Go ahead and tell another lie......take a break Bubba.....I got em......

0

coachjohnson42 1 year, 9 months ago

You guys sound like a bunch of bitter sore losers every since OBAMA won in 2008. Get over it....We had to suffer through the sad days of BUSH, so you deal with OBAMA!!! We dealt with 8 years of Hell under Bush, and now a much better President comes along to fix this mess and you start making up lies about him because your REPUBS LOST in 2008. Quit your whining.....OBAMA IS HERE TO STAY FOR 4 MORE YEARS....HE MIGHT LOSE GEORGIA, BUT HE WONT LOSE IN THE MORE PROGRESSIVE STATES LIKE NEW YORK AND CALIFORNIA (THE BIG MONEY ELECTORAL STATES).......SO, PLEASE DON'T RUN AWAY IN NOVEMBER.......STAY RIGHT HERE......I WANNA HEAR WHAT YOU GOT TO SAY WHEN OBAMA RIPS ROMNEY A NEW YOU KNOW WHAT.......

I WILL BE STANDING BY WITH TISSUE FOR YOU

0

VSU 1 year, 9 months ago

Obuma will lose Georgia, but if Obuma wins the election, at least Georgia can say it's not our fault.

0

Bubbavet_rureel 1 year, 9 months ago

If you vote your heart, he will win Georgia!!

0

Progressive 1 year, 9 months ago

You just proved my point. And, no whining here_ I only deal with FACTS. By the way, just curious, can you name 1 policy under Bush that caused you to endure 8 years of Heck?

1

rock 1 year, 9 months ago

Himmler, Goerboels, Mengele, Corch Johnson all followed along blindly until the fall. ALL dictators (I had to add the tator) fall and fall harder. I will be waiting for all you Obama followers to say: Damn I should have not wasted my vote". Obama is going to fall, unless his soviet buddy gets all the AMERICAN_RUSSIANS to vote.

0

coachjohnson42 1 year, 9 months ago

I rather follow Obama on a bad day, than Bush on his best day.........You are the one who followed a fool...not me!!!

0

rock 1 year, 9 months ago

One of these days you can get off the short yellow bus and put your special education to use. The more you write the more I, and others, realize we are not dealing with an adult. You seem to think everyone supported Bush as blindly as you do Obama, when if fact many of us chose to fight Bush on his entering into yet another unwinnable war. simply because he was a WASP does not and did make him more right in the armed conflicts as is Obama and his entire presidency. Jimmy Carter can now smile, since he is now and by far, NOT the worst president in American History.

0

coachjohnson42 1 year, 9 months ago

Carter, Clinton, and Obama were all much better than the destruction Bush caused in 8 years. Bush was by the far the worst American President ever. Do you remember when he lied to the American people about why he attacked Iraq? He lied about them having WMD (weapons of mass destruction) ....they were never found and thousands of lives were lost....THOUSANDS!!! That war should have never even happened!!! How in the world is Obama worst than that? You are indeed a fool ....

0

rock 1 year, 9 months ago

Bush tried to destroy IRAQ....Obama is trying to destroy the United States of America...That is the difference FOOL....

0

Keep drinking that koolaid Coach...why don't you go to Iraq and we hope you get lucky and find WMDs...

Obamacare fact: Taxes on dividends will rise from 15% to 18.8%--if Congress extends the Bush tax cuts. If Congress does not extend the Bush tax cuts, taxes on dividends will rise from 15% to a shocking 43.8%. (WSJ)

0

ustaknow 1 year, 9 months ago

obamacare fact:The penalty on non-medical withdrawals from Healthcare Savings Accounts is now 20% instead of 10%. That's twice the penalty that applies to annuities, IRAs, and other tax-free vehicles.

0

obamacare : A 40% tax on "Cadillac Health Care Plans" starting in 2018.Those whose employers pay for all or most of comprehensive healthcare plans (costing $10,200 for an individual or $27,500 for families) will have to pay a 40% tax on the amount their employer pays. The 2018 start date is said to have been a gift to unions, which often have comprehensive plan
