DOERUN, Ga. — According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Xavier Sims, 25, of Doerun, was sentenced in Valdosta Monday to serve 30 months in prison and three years on probation for threatening to put a bomb in a Colquitt County School on Aug. 3 2011.
There was no bomb, but “Mr. Sims not only put the safety of our law enforcement officers and children at risk, he caused the waste of precious public safety resources,” said U.S. Attorney Michael Moore.
