ALBANY — Superior Court Judge Stephen Goss sent the jury home Thursday in the retrial of Michael Wade Phillips. The jury is expected to return today and continue deliberations.
Phillips was found guilty in May of 2007 for a series of armed robberies in the Lake Park area and sentenced as a recidivist to two consecutive life terms without possibility of parole. Due to a misplaced document not available at the first trial, he was granted a new trial.
