ALBANY -- Mary Joyce Rogers Gilley, 59, of Leesburg, GA, died Monday July 23, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Griffin will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Albany, GA.
Born in Albany, GA, Mrs. Gilley had resided in Sycamore, GA before moving to Leesburg, GA four years ago. She was a retired waitress and was a member of the Berea Full Gospel Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hallie Rogers and Wyline Swearingen Rogers, and three brothers, Hallie Rogers, Phillip (Butch) Rogers and Charles Rogers.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Ray Britt (Tracy), Sylvester, GA, Chase A. Gilley, Orlando, FL, a daughter, Shannon Wyline Hooper, El Paso, TX, four sisters, Sara Rogers Burrell (Tommy), Baconton, GA, Julia Rogers Blalock (Jimmy), Leesburg, GA, Louise Rogers Fallin (Andy), Leslie, GA and Brenda Rogers Price Gardner (Ware), Leesburg, GA and six grandchildren.
The family is at the residence of Jimmy and Julia Blalock, 149 Muckalee Creek Rd., Leesburg, GA.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
