ALBANY, Ga. — First came the words, then came the punches and family violence about 4 a.m. Wednesday at 1307 W. Whitney Ave., according to Albany Police Department reports.
The reports state officers arrested three people for simple battery and two others were taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Michael Curry, 21, began physically fighting with 20-year-old Benisha Carter when Currey’s brother, Oswan Barron, 20, and sister, Kenesia Curry, 19, joined in, striking Carter in the face repeatedly, the report stated.
“Carter managed to break free,” said Phyllis Banks, police spokeswoman. “Once she was outside, she started toward her 2010 Dodge Charger.”
Standing outside in the road, Minnie James, 65, and Charlie Mae James, 61, began running toward Carter, the report stated. One of them carried a stick, police said.
“Carter got into her vehicle,” Banks said, “and as she drove off, she struck both women accidentally while attempting to get away.”
Michael Curry and his siblings were released Wednesday from the Dougherty County Jail on $1,000 bail each, a jail spokesowman said.

Good Lord! What did this woman do to these people to make them mob up on her like that? 3 on the inside and two on the outside? Sounds like gangster runs in the family...like mother, like children.

In other cities, they call this assault with a deadly weapon or aggravated assault.

Too bad the "COPS" production crew wasn't there to capture it all on film...

My hubby and I both have full time jobs and we can't afford a 2010 car. How does a 20-year-old manage it?
