Rachals strong leader as Lee sheriff

In the time that I have been employed with the Lee County Sheriff's Office, I have had the opportunity to be a part of a team/family that takes pride in protecting and serving the people of Lee County. Sheriff Reggie Rachals takes a chance each time he hires a new person. He gave me the opportunity to fulfill my lifelong dream of being in law enforcement; he took a chance when he hired me.

Having served in the military, being part of a team was something I missed for a long time. I put my uniform on to report to duty. I have one person to thank for giving me back what I missed: Sheriff Reggie Rachals.

Having him as our sheriff for the next four years gives me the knowledge that with the guidance of a great leader, I look forward to serving the citizens of Lee County.

Second paragraph, second sentence, it should have read "I take pride each day I put my uniform to report for duty". I take pride in everything I do not only because it represents me but also my law enforcement family. It has always been this way no matter who I work with and/or for. Many good friendships and relationships have been made and also broken due to this election.......it really saddens me.

I would like to take the time to thank Claudia Tupper for making this very valid point. The Lee County Sheriff's Office is like a family that welcomes its citizens as its family as well. And just like family, we do not always agree with everything that the family members do or say. But at the end of the day, we get the job done. We do it to the best of our ability. In an elected position, such as the Sheriff, sometimes it is best to hire people that you trust, people that will back you up. We work in a job where it is imperative to work with others that you trust with your LIFE, because it is inevitable that this LIFE will be threatened in this job. So, when it comes to unreliable people in this line of business they are NOT welcome. In the grand scheme of things we work for the people of this county, we work to protect and serve, we absolutely must TRUST in those we work beside. Otherwise, it is a fruitless effort and all of the people in this community would be in jeopardy. I do not trust David Cheshire because he has no idea what trust or family loyalty is about. For those of you that do understand, vote for the man that has given his heart and soul to his family, to his community, and to his employees. Vote for Reggie Rachals, July 31st.

Rachals is the man for the job. The other guy is a snake in the grass who was put up to run for office by pissed off, lazy employees that he let go. Check on that paper trail

One thing this election has definitely done is show the true personality as well as the mentality of some of the Lee Co. deputies. And I must say it is a little unsettling knowing they are what we have protecting our families! I sure hope if David wins this election that he plans on cleaning the trash out of the department that Rachals has filled it with!
