ALBANY — Southwest Georgians will be transported to a golden era of entertainment Aug. 17 when Needmore Properties, Divine & Finney P.C., MetroPower and United Hospice present "An Evening in the Rainbow Room" at First United Methodist Church's Ford Hall.
The return to the days of Billie Holiday, Rosemary Clooney, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin will benefit the Albany Alzheimer's Outreach Center.
Tickets, which are $25, include a fine Italian dinner, dancing and a show that harks back to the days of New York City's famous Rainbow Room. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. with showtime to follow at 7:30.
Tickets, which are limited, are available at the Alzheimer's Outreach Center's 314 N. Jefferson St. location. Information is available by calling (229) 432-2705 or by email at alzheima@bellsouth.net. Only advance tickets will be sold for the event.
First United Methodist is located at 307 Flint Ave.
