Michael Fowler, a candidate for Dougherty County coroner, has worked tirelessly as a mortician throughout Georgia and Florida, along with many natural disasters. Fowler's credentials speak for themselves; however, his compassion for all of the families with whom he interacts is simply phenomenal, and his love for the profession is undying and true.
Even while working for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Fowler served as a mentor, teacher, friend and now a colleague to two morticians in Southwest Georgia, whom he literally raised in the profession. Jefferey F. Wakefield is the mortician and operations manager at Poteat Funeral Home, Albany. Cordarial O. Holloway serves as mortician and service manager of Albritten's Funeral Service, Dawson, and as an educator in the Terrell County Public School System.
It was under the supervision and direction of Fowler that these two young men left their hometowns to become knowledgeable of the funeral service profession and to further advance their knowledge of embalming techniques by attending Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Decatur.
Furthermore, it is without reservation that Cordarial O. Holloway and Jeffery F. Wakefield write this statement to inform the citizens of Dougherty County that Michael Fowler is, in fact, the candidate of choice to serve as Dougherty County Coroner.
