PELHAM -- Lottie Cox Hooks, 100, of Pelham, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home.
Born on November 25, 1911 in Crisp CO, GA to the late Edwin and Jane Nipper Cox, she was a retired seamstress for Darwood Manufacturing Company. She was also a member of Trinity Baptist Church, the Pelham Senior Center, and the Golden Age Club.
She is survived by her children, W. L. Hooks and wife, Annette, of Dawson, GA, Eunice Morrell and husband, Lamon, of Pelham, GA, Floyd Hooks and wife, LaRue, of Thomasville, GA, Glenda Free and husband, Buddy, of Cobb, GA, Suzanne Morrell and husband, Anthony, of Pelham, GA; 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. M. Hooks, son, Devon A. Hooks and her parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 6 until 8 p. m. at Jamerson Funeral Home in Pelham, GA.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Rev. Franklin Russ, assisted by Rev. Greg Fenn, will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Mike Hooks, Sonny Hooks, Ronnie Free, Tony Morrell, Marty Hooks, Doug Hooks. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
