COLQUITT, Ga. — A 12-year-old boy who was shot to death around midnight May 26 was buried Thursday, according to a Georgia Bureau of Investigation report.
Braden Dakota Phillips, a Miller County Middle School student, was visiting an 11-year-old friend’s home north on State Highway 91 near Colquitt when he suffered a shot from a .22-caliber rifle, GBI special agent in charge Steve Turner said. No charges have been filed as the case remains under investigation.
