ALBANY -- Dr. Galina Soboleva, 64, of Albany died June 5, 2012 at The Willson Hospice House.

Visitation will be held on Friday June 8, 2012 at Kimbrell-Stern from 6:00 to 7:00PM followed by a memorial service at 7:00PM also at Kimbrell-Stern.

A native of Moscow, Russia, Dr. Soboleva has lived in Albany since 1991. She was formerly employed by Merck and Co. as a project Scientist for many years. Since 2005 she was teaching Chemistry at Darton College. Her commitment and dedication to the College are well known to her colleagues and students.

Galina's major enjoyment in her life was her work with talented students, communication with friends, reading books and travel abroad.

Survivors include her husband Victor Sobolev and daughter Irina Soboleva.
