CAMILLA -- Larry Malcolm Moon, Sr., 71, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at his residence in Hopeful.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla with Rev. Ronnie Kinsaul officiating. Interment will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele with military honors. Palbearers will include Jr. West, Bright Hays, Jamie Davis, Jerry Smith, Tim Moore, and Jerry Justice.
Born January 10, 1941 in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, Mr. Moon was the son of the late William C. Moon, Jr. and Lois Hanken Moon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Faye Moon and a sister, Elizabeth Moon Parsons. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Mr. Moon was a retired professional bird dog trainer, having trained several national champion bird dogs. He was previously employed as general manager and bird dog trainer for Pine Bloom Plantation.
Survivors include one son, Larry Moon, Jr. & wife, Carla, of Warner Robins; three sisters, Margaret Moon Everett of Perry, FL, Jennie Gray Hayes Moon of Perry, FL, and Mary Coleen Moon Theritt of New Port Richey, FL; two granddaughters, Ashley Kay Moon and Kaylie Moon.
Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, June 8 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla.
