Police are looking for the man who robbed Rite Aid pharmacy at 2425 N. Slappey Blvd. Wednesday.
ALBANY, Ga. -- A man claiming to be armed robbed a Slappey Boulevard pharmacy at about 8:50 p. m. Wednesday, according to Albany Police Department reports.
The robber, described as a white male with a shirt draped across his face, walked up to counter of the Rite Aide pharmacy at 2425 N. Slappey Blvd. with his hands in his pockets as if he had a weapon concealed, reports added.
The bandit demanded a cashier give him money from the register and the cashier complied. The robber walked out of the business and ran away with an undetermined amount of cash, stated the reports.
Police responded to at least 47 other incidents Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:
-- Aggravated assault on the 1300 block of East Residence Avenue and the 1300 block of West Highland Avenue.
DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 44 calls on Wednesday.
There were 28 medical calls and 16 trauma calls. Medical Calls and trauma calls included but were not limited to:
-- Four chest pain calls, four mental health calls, 14 various medical calls, six vehicle crash victims and six falls.
ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to eight incidents.
-- Vehicle crash, cable lines down, false alarm, fire safety program, smoke scare, electric short, activated alarm and an unauthorized burn.
