THOMASVILLE -- Spence Hook Hallman of Boston died on June 9, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on June 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Boston Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ron West officiating. Interment will be private in the Boston City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Fabro, Craig Shuford, Doug Mills, Vance Hurst, Jay Redmond, Chad Catrett, Alan Hurst, Jesse Hoskins, Jeremy Rayburn, Walker Searcy and Nick English. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Boston Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Hallman was born in Boston, GA on August 6, 1922 to the late Lewie Hallman and the late Girlie Hook Hallman. He was a graduate of Boston High School and the University of Georgia where he received his degree in Agriculture. He was a member of Boston Presbyterian Church and the United States Army-Calvary. He retired after working for 45 years as a U.S. Postal carrier in Boston.

He is survived by his wife since July 2, 1961 (Ruffin, SC), Frances Player Hallman of Boston; his daughter, Alice Durham and husband Terry of Albany; his granddaughters, Lindsey and Kelsey Durham; his brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Eleanor Hallman; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
