CUTHBERT -- Frances M. Thursby, 81, of Cuthbert died June 9, 2012 at the Joe Ann Burgin Nursing Home in Cuthbert. Graveside services will be June 11, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Enterprise Baptist Church in Clay County near Edison with the Rev. David Crowdis and Sharon Loyley officiating.
Mrs. Thursby was born in Seminole County May 29, 1931, the daughter of the late Charlie and Chloe Clark. Mrs. Thursby was a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church. Mrs. Thursby was formally from Edison where she was a floor supervisor for the Editex textile company. Mrs. Thursby was a retired store owner of Randolph Square in Cuthbert.
She was survived by her daughter Debbie Rigsby (Clifford) of Cuthbert; two brothers, Charles Clark (Charlene) of Edison and Cully Clark (Frances) of Macon; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Jane Clark of Eufaula, AL; four grandchildren, Cameron Rigsby of Dahlonega, Parker Rigsby of Cuthbert, Chad Thursby, and Che'Beam of Montgomery, AL; great-granddaughter Parker Grace Thursby of Mt. Plesant, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband J.D. Thursby, a son Wayne Thursby, two brothers, Alton Clark and Eddie Clark.
Visitation will be at the fellowship hall at Enterprise Baptist Church from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday.
