TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Mother Nature washed out Game 2 of the NCAA Super Regionals on Saturday between Florida State (47-15) and Stanford (41-17) after heavy rain saturated North Florida all day, showing no signs of letting up.

NCAA rules state the game could’ve been started as late as 11 p.m., but eventually it was postponed until today, despite the fact the forecast calls for the same types of conditions.

The two teams will now square off at 7:05 tonight, and anyone who purchased tickets for Saturday’s game can use them today. Game 3, if necessary, will be played Monday at the same time.

FSU leads the best-of-three series, 1-0, after routing the Cardinal, 17-1, on Friday night in front of 4,067 fans at Dick Howser Stadium.

Tonight’s game will air live on ESPN2.
