ALBANY — The Albany Police Department is continuing to investigate the backhoe break-in at American Idol Phillip Phillip’s father’s pawnshop.
In a report released Wednesday, officers stated that “an undetermined amount of guns, jewelry and a cash register that contained approximately $60” were stolen after the store’s back door was smashed in by a stolen backhoe.
It also stated that a 6-foot-1 black male weighing about 225 pounds and wearing khaki shorts and a dark pullover shirt is suspected of casing the Albany Sporting Goods and Pawn shop at 1703 E. Oglethorpe Boulevard before the burglary, which occurred between 8 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.
