ALBANY — A drug dealer tried to hold up his customer at Kersh Mobile Home Park and ended up with multiple gunshot wounds, according to reports from the Dougherty County Police Department.

Accompanied by an unidentified man, 33-year-old Sederrick Culbreth was selling marijuana to 22-year-old Jacolvie Jarrod Curry behind the Pit Stop convenience store at 3225 Sylvester Road about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, a DCPD report states.

Culbreth pulled a gun on Curry and the three men fought.

During the fight, Culbreth was shot, said county police Detective Sgt. Chad Kirkpatrick.

“The fight was two-on-one and the gun went off a couple times,” Kirkpatrick said. “Culbreth was shot with his own gun. Curry was defending himself.”

All three men ran from the area, Kirkpatrick said. Culbreth showed up at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital with a relative and Curry called police from War Eagle Avenue.

Charges pending against Culbreth include armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a gun by a felon and gun possession during a crime, Kirkpatrick said.

Curry was in the Dougherty County Jail on other warrants, Kirkpatrick said. Police are searching for the third man.
