Man indicted in toddler beating

ALBANY — Jamie Durell Jackson was indicted Wednesday on three counts of aggravated battery family violence and three counts of cruelty to children in the first degree, according to grand jury papers.

The Dougherty County Grand Jury charged that Jackson on March 6 beat a 3-year-old girl so severely that he ruptured her left eardrum and rendered it useless. Jackson also seriously bit the girl and assaulted her with his hands and fists.

The cruelty indictments stated that he caused “cruel and excessive physical pain” by striking her in the head, by biting the child’s body and “striking said child in the face and body, causing swelling, abrasions and bruising to said child’s face and body.”

ERNEST WARD

In another domestic violence case from the grand jury papers, Ernest Joseph Ward was indicted for hitting Joanne Clipper in the head with a frying pan on Feb. 7.

Clipper was indicted for assault for pouring boiling water on Ward that same day, the papers added. The couple lived in the same residence. No note of who struck first was made in the indictments.

Mr Jackson is a waste of oxygen. Anyone that would harm a 3 year old like he did deserves a slooooow and miserable death. This piece of crap has damaged a young girl for the rest of her life and he will be free in a few years to enjoy his life.
