Former President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday School this Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains.
EVENTS
New Mt. Holder Baptist Church will celebrate its Deacons and Deaconesses 22nd anniversary at 6 p.m. on June 23.
The speaker will be Deacon Willie McMillian of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
The church is located at 4524 Harris Road.
New Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church will host the ordination service of Mary Edwards at 3 p.m. on June 24.
Edwards, a native of Albany, is the Daughter of the House at New Union Grove. She is a 2012 graduate of Bethany Divinity College and Seminary with a degree of doctor of ministry/pastoral ministry.
The church is located at 1639 Sunny Lane.
