BLAKELY -- Ben Rufus Lee, 61, of 896 Chulee Rd., Edison, GA, died Sunday night at his daughter, Jamie McLeod's home in Lee County. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Enterprise Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Enterprise Cemetery. Rev. Jackie Williams will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be: Terry Worthy, Ray Joiner, Mike Jones, Josh Hilton, Shawn Weathersby and Harvey Jordan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM.

Ben was born October 30, 1950 to the late Wallace Ealon Lee and Emma Lemmie Sanders Lee. He was a graduate of Georgia Southwestern in Americus, GA, having received his BS degree in History. He was the owner of Spring Creek Lawn Care. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Lee and a sister, Annette Scarborough.

His survivors include a daughter, Jamie L. Mcleod and husband, Scott, of Albany, GA and a son, Kevin Lee and wife, Dena, of Cuthbert, GA; four sisters: Doris Callahan and husband, Brother, of Damascus, GA, Lindy Hard and husband, James, of Huntsville, AL, Jean Smith and husband, Jerry, of Eatonton, GA and Lemmie Widner and husband, Freddie, of Cordele, GA. He has five grandchildren, Hannah and Nicholas McLeod, both of Albany, GA, Dallas, Jenny, and Dakota Baker of Cuthbert, GA.
