Police/Fire/EMS - June 19, 2012

ALBANY -- The Albany Police Department responded to at least 85 incidents Saturday, Sunday and into the early hours of Monday. Reports included:

-- Disorderly conduct on the 2000 block of North Flintlock Drive;

-- Criminal trespass on the 1800 block of East Broad Avenue and the 1900 block of West Broad Avenue;

-- Terroristic threats and acts on the 1700 block of East Broad Avenue;

-- Domestic disputes (unfounded) on the 2200 block of Rosebrier Avenue and the 900 block of West Broad Avenue;

-- Thefts by taking on the 2000 block of Tompkins Avenue and the 600 block of West Residence Avenue;

-- Loitering and prowling on the 1700 block of West Whitney Avenue;

-- Burglaries on the 300 block of West Residence Avenue and the 600 block of Sands Drive;

-- Assault on the first block of Transvilla Parkway and the 1600 block of Worrell Court;

-- Reckless conduct on the 900 block of Cherry Avenue;

-- Deposit account fraud (wanted person) on the 1900 block of Dawson Road;

-- Harassing phone calls on the 500 block of Hickory Lane and the 200 block of Pinson Road;

-- Disorderly conduct on the 300 block of South Jackson Street and the 400 block of South McKinley Street;

-- Driving on suspended licenses on the 300 block of South McKinley Street and the 700 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

-- Thefts by shoplifting on the 2800 block of Nottingham Way and the 1800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive;

-- Lost or mislaid property on the 1200 block of Schley Avenue;

-- Entering autos on the 3100 block of Fernridge Drive and the 1100 block of East Second Avenue;

-- Driving under the influence on the 700 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

-- Driving with a suspended/revoked license on the 700 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard. Open containers and a small bag of marijuana were found under the driver's seat during a traffic stop at around 4 a.m. Sunday. Two males were arrested.

-- Recovered property on the 300 block of Slater King Drive;

-- Family violence (unfounded) on the 500 block of South Madison Street;

-- Injured person on the 900 block of North Madison Street;

-- Theft of lost, mislaid property on the 2400 block of Sylvester Road;

-- Open container on the 1100 block of North Cleveland Street;

-- Aggravated assault on the 400 block of Bush Street between 8 p.m.-10:20 p.m. Saturday. The victim stated that someone chased him with a stick and tried to run him over.

-- Possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute on the 400 block of North Highland Avenue. Police were called to the scene on reports of possible drug sales at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

-- Persons under 18 in the bed of a pickup truck on the 1400 block of Cromartie Beach Drive;

-- Remaining on business property after closing on the 1800 block of North Slappey Boulevard.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 28 calls from Friday through Sunday. Reports included EMS assistance, a mobile home fire, a tree on a house, unauthorized burnings, arcing wires in a vehicle, grass fires and a shorted washing machine.

DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to a total of 50 calls on Sunday. There were a total of 40 medical calls and 10 trauma calls. Medical calls included, but were not limited to, five respiratory calls, three faintings and 19 various medical calls. Trauma calls included, but were not limited to, three auto accident victims and three falls.
