CAMILLA -- Robert Cleo "Bobby" Jones, 81, of Camilla, died Monday, June 18, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 21, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Camilla with interment in Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. James Robertson will officiate.
Active pallbearers will include Mickey Cochran, Cader Cox, III, Glenn Cox, Lorenzo Sharp, Steven Cochran, and Cader Cox, IV. Honorary pallbearers will be the Fellowship Sunday School Class.
Born October 30, 1930 in Mitchell County, Mr. Jones was the son of the late Jesse Calvin and Bonnie Kate Taylor Jones. He was former owner and operator of Camilla Alarm Services. Mr. Jones was a member of First Baptist Church of Camilla. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hammett. Mr. Jones was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed fishing in the Flint River and the lake.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Cochran Jones of Camilla; one daughter, Katrina Baranko and husband, David, of Albany; one son, Robert C. Jones, Jr. and wife, Merri, of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters, Telane Lee of Hopeful and Jessie Kate Sharp of Hopeful; five grandchildren, Bert Baranko and wife, Kristi, Meredith Flagstad and husband, Brock, Catherine Cotovsky and husband, Mike, Elizabeth Jones, and Rob Jones; and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m., Thursday, one hour prior to services, at First Baptist Church of Camilla.
