ALBANY -- A attack at 3 a.m. Saturday by three men outside an Albany nightspot put one man in the hospital with serious head injuries, according to Albany Police.

Jaylon Edwards, 31, remained in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in fair condition Tuesday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Edwards suffered the head injury when three men jumped out of a white van and assaulted him in the parking lot of Charlie B's at 2401 Dawson Road, said Phyllis Banks, police spokeswoman.

After the men fled, Edwards returned home and complained of "his head hurting" to his family, Banks said. He "was possibly struck over the head with an unknown object."

Investigators would like the community to help them locate four suspects in the assault.

  • William Cameron Sizemore, 24.

  • Steven Hatcher, 22.

  • Shawn Penney, 29.

  • Jeremy Baer, 23.
