I'm working on that right now. These numbers were put together as appetizers.

It does not surprise me that in the buckle of the bible belt that the numbers for science and social studies are abysmal. If the god created everything, there is no need for science (although s/he having a tough time stopping bullets; I would think people would pray for prevention, not healing). And, if you are never going to leave SW GA, there is no need to know anything about anybody or anywhere else!

Sure, kids can read their religious texts but refuse to learn any science or different cultures because it might open their minds. Don't scoff; several teachers have heard that line.

It has nothing to do with the Bible belt. It is the belt of daddy making them study or lack of. Middle schoolers are above learning much especially if the teachers are not there. There is an awful science teacher at Albany Middle that should never be allowed in the classroom. Her pass rate at one time was 30%.

Reading and Language Arts are a freaking joke..........seriously. Those tests are so easy it's almost embarrassing. Out of 500 8th grade students, Lee Middle had less than 10 fail.

On the other hand, the science tests are generally more difficult, and quite frankly, the socials studies tests are hard, with the exception of the 8th grade Georgia Studies. 6th grade is very difficult.

In the grand scheme of things, the 7th grade tests are the easiest of all.
