"Who knows what else?" The next thing will be when over 50% of US citizens and illegal immigrants are permanently taking more from the government (national, state, and local) than they put in which means the Death of America.

BVR your so "SMART" please help me...I just got notice that after 15years with the same DR. he is droping patients now because he can not afford the changes Your King will be making in his payments for his services. So now along with 1000s of new patients many of us that had a DR. must find a new DR. willing to work for what your King is willing to pay.
Yep your right I am also mad because alot of what I WORK for is taken from me and given to folks who choose not to work. Not the weak just the lazy ones. And BIG money BIG Mouths like you want me to pay even more to support your lazy friends.

There are days when I want to cry for our Country. Whatever happened to the Bible verse that says, if a man does not work he shall not eat, days? Yes, healthcare is very expensive, but that is due to the rampant abuse of those people who are currently on it and the ever decreaseing decline of healthcare competition. The hard-working middle class citizens of the United States does not need more mandates or more of Big Brother telling us what we can and can't do, what we have to pay to support those who should support themselves, and how we should spend what little that is left in our pockets. The truth is, we have more power then some would like, we need to uitilize that power and VOTE people out of office. VOTE for repeal of unwanted, undersirable tax laws. VOTE for reduction in services and finances for those that can and should work. VOTE for any one but Obama into the White House. VOTE, people, VOTE.

It is not the users of the insurance, it is the insurance companies and the costs associated with medical care. Why can't a nurse wheel my bed; why does there have to be a transport aide? Why can't janitors clean the messes; why are there CNA's? Why does every little ailment warrant a test or an xray or a specialist? Why does insurance pay for annual check-ups? Should it be for catastrophes only?
Bubbavet_rureel 10 months, 4 weeks ago
That's right, reform the Heath Care Management.
gotanyfacts 10 months, 4 weeks ago
I don't run a hospital so I can't even suggest answers to most of those questions. But in regard to the overuse of tests, a doctor who uses reasonable judgment in not running a test and fails to detect a condition that was only remotely indicated will be sued. It's part of the expectation that everyone but me should be perfect. Also, the argument for paying for checkups is that early detection and treatment will be less expensive than treatment of advanced illness.
erudite 10 months, 3 weeks ago
The MD will only be sued of the person is looking for cash. The US is quite the litigious society. Americans sue over everything. Early detection is BS; what can be prevented? Those diseases 'detected' are managed, not cured. So why the checkup; the symptoms will be the same.
I do not believe that people receiving medical assistance can choose a primary care physician; they are forced to the hospital for the common cold, etc.
gotanyfacts 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Yes, usually the legal action is in pursuit of money and even if the doctor wins, there is a huge expense in defending even the most frivolous action. You are only partially right with regard to detection. Some diseases are quite curable. As for being able to choose a primary care physician, I'm in the dark there.
VSU 10 months, 4 weeks ago
The tests & X-rays help find your ailment to avoid those catastrophes. What about those people using taxpayers money to go to the emergency room for a common cold? Take aspirin or cold medicine and get plenty of rest. They go the emergency room for a small splinter in their finger. Hell, get a needle & tweezers and problem solved. They get a small cut on their finger, hell put some peroxide and a bandage on it. Are their no people left than can take care of the simple things themselves?
erudite 10 months, 3 weeks ago
As I wrote to gotoanyfacts, I do not think that recipients can get a primary care physician; I think they have to use the hospital. That recipients use it for small things is ignorance of home health remedies; time to return to homeopathic medicine and knock out Big Medicine.

No, there will be a revolution in this country. May not be too far into the future. Folks are mad as ....In two years when it goes into effect, the only ones that will hurt are the folks already on a health plan. Their rates will skyrocket and it will force them off of the plan. Then they will pay the penality (oops tax) to get around it. Most politicians know that you use more healthcare the last year of your life than any other time. By then you are on Medicare. Mess with that and you are dead in politics. What no one has said is about states and Medicaid. There is something there and each state can regulate it. If so, it is time for Georgia to cut back.

Obamacare does mess with Medicare. My Medicare plus gap insurance went from $300 per month to $500 per month and I have less coverage than someone on Medicaid. This is just the first step. Obamacare will further increase gap insurance costs and decrease coverage while increasing by huge numbaers people on Medicaid. Who thinks this is moral?

The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows[1]
Clause one is a "vesting clause," similar to other clauses in Articles One and Three, but it vests the power to execute the instructions of Congress, which has the exclusive power to make laws; "To make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof." The important distinction between the vesting clause in Article I and this Vesting Clause is that this one is Plenary (i.e., it implies the power the executive to fall in line with what other "executives" around the world at the time could do) whereas the power vested in Article I is subject to limits to be outlined in later sections.
The head of the Executive Branch is the President of the United States. The President and the Vice President are elected every four years.
Well, read the facts.
gotanyfacts 10 months, 4 weeks ago
You copy and paste well. Now take a look at the Bill of Rights and see if you can find where the federal government is vested with the power to tax or punish people for not purchasing a product. If you understood that what you pasted has nothing to do with the discussion, you would not have bothered!
J.D._Sumner 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Gotanyfacts, I think you're partially right and partially wrong on this. The office of the president generally has no authority to regulate commerce, which is what Obamacare is, but Congress does. Judging by the following excerpt from Cornell, the "commerce Clause" of the constitution gives congress the ability to regulate what we buy. Other examples include the FDA, which regulates the drugs we take and the USDA.
The Commerce Clause refers to Article 1, Section 8, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution, which gives Congress the power “to regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes.”
The Constitution enumerates certain powers for the federal government; the Tenth Amendment provides that any powers that are not enumerated in the Constitution are reserved for the states. Congress has often used the Commerce Clause to justify exercising legislative power over the activities of states and their citizens, leading to significant and ongoing controversy regarding the balance of power between the federal government and the states.
The Commerce Clause has historically been viewed as both a grant of congressional authority and as a restriction on states’ powers to regulate. The “dormant” Commerce Clause refers to the prohibition, implied in the Commerce Clause, against states passing legislation that discriminates against or excessively burdens interstate commerce. The meaning of the word "commerce" is a source of much of the controversy. The Constitution does not explicitly define the word. Some argue that it refers simply to trade or exchange, while others claim that the founders intended to describe more broadly commercial and social intercourse between citizens of different states. Thus, the interpretation of "commerce" affects the appropriate dividing line between federal and state power.
erudite 10 months, 3 weeks ago
OK, if the Commerce Clause allows commercial regulation enough to allow the ACA, can it also allow regulation of the fees charged for tests, etc? Can medical charges be reined in?
RedEric 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Bubba you must also read the federalist papers to Truly understand the constitution. The constitution is like the bible, you can select passages to justify most anything. Not only is Barack Hussein Obama an avowed Marxist, he and his administration are the most racist people in this country. He and his bunch make every criticism against him and "his", racist attacks against a black President, a black AG, and everyone else who is black; that's why most whites are hesitant to say anything. For instance, a "Black Congressional Caucus" is acceptable, but let white Congressmen organize a White Congressional Caucus and all hell will break loose. It's okay to have the NAACP, but see what reaction there would be if there was a NAAWP (which, by the way is greatly needed). Admittedly, there is racism existing with White America and Black America; however, I can say with much confidence that the greatest amount of racism comes from the black community and is propagated by the leadership in Washington, D.C.
VSU 10 months, 4 weeks ago
Course the blacks will say they are not racists, and I suppose they think they are not hypocrits as well.
erudite 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Regardless of color, sex, ethnicity, the sad truth is ignorance, prejudice and discrimination can be bliss.
erudite 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Don't you think there has been a NAAWP for centuries? From where do you get your confidence for your claim about prejudice and discrimination? Have whites (not Irish or Italians who did) been excluded from the lunch counter, from registering to vote, from certain schools or jobs? Whites have 11 months of history lessons; where is the real, not revisionist, history?
rightasrain 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Erudite, you prove 'where it is'! Ever since the Civil Rights Act was passed, history has been revised to do nothing but demonize anyone who isn't the sacred black color. By the way, whites were prevented from voting in the 2008 campaign as members of the BLACK PANTHERS threatened the safety of voters if they did not vote for Hussein Obama and the BLACK AG publicly stated that the AG's office would not prosecute any black crime on white; but would prosecute white on black. By the way, it's obvious that you can't comprehend what you read; I said nothing about prejudice nor discrimination; I mentioned racism. Learn to read.
erudite 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Racism is the result of prejudice and discrimination. I think you are so far right that you are close to the edge of your flat earth. That some whites were prevented at a few polls is supposed to equate with decades of restricitions at every election, not just national? You pick out a few episodes and that's supposed to make it equal? I would like real history, no superior colors, just the facts.

If the Health Care Bill is so good, why isn't it universal? Why have so many groups been allowed to exempt themselves from it? Why are those that wrote it and passed it exempt from it? Is it because they are better class citizens? Why would they even want exemption from it? If you took the time to read some of the contained clauses, you might realize why. Plus, it would interfer with their path to wealth at the expense of the Taxpayer. Even someone like myself can see something just isn't as advertised. Too many people intending to attend a feeding frenzie on the bucks that will be available. To few people to actually fund it. Look for more than the 9,000 millionaires to renounce their American citizenship than did last year. They didn't accumulate all that wealth by being stupid.

You do realize that the portion deemed constitutional, the "individual mandate", is exactly what Romney did in Massachusetts, right? When he was governor there, he passed legislation that required all MA citizens to have health insurance. See how that is working for them.

Read, Read, Read all about it:
Question:
Coach one Question? If Obuma's Healthcare plan is so GREAT why did he personally see to it that a large number of his union supporters were exempted right after the bill passed and why are the Democrats not giving up their private healthcare program and taking Obuma’s program. Maybe what is so Good for the Dumbacrates is not so good for the insider friends of Obuma. Once again you have been told what to believe and you did with no questions…Good Luck and give it your best double-talk try. Or just run away as usual!!!!!
Answer:
Rewarding. Doctors and hospitals today are paid for performing procedures, not for helping patients. Insurers make money by dumping sick patients, not by keeping people healthy. Mr. Obama proposes to base Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements to hospitals and doctors on patient outcomes (lower cholesterol readings, made and kept follow-up appointments) in a coordinated effort to focus the entire payment system around better health, not just more care.
Pooling. The Obama plan would give individuals and small firms the option of joining large insurance pools. With large patient pools, a few people incurring high medical costs will not topple the entire system, so insurers would no longer need to waste time, money and resources weeding out the healthy from the sick, and businesses and individuals would no longer have to subject themselves to that costly and stressful process.
Preventing. In today's health-care market, less than one dollar in 25 goes for prevention, even though preventive services -- regular screenings and healthy lifestyle information -- are among the most cost-effective medical services around. Guaranteeing access to preventive services will improve health and in many cases save money.
Covering. Controlling long-run health-care costs requires removing the hidden expenses of the uninsured. The reforms described above will lower premiums by $2,500 for the typical family, allowing millions previously priced out of the market to afford insurance.

Hogwash! If Obumadon'tcare is good enough for us, it's good enough for them, which tells me it isn't worth the sweat on my underarms and I don't have no sweat on my underarms.
