ALBANY — Twelve Dougherty County 4-H’ers traveled to Rock Eagle recently to compete in the 4-H Southwest District Junior/Senior Project Achievement. The weekend is designed to challenge 7-12 graders in a fun competition that builds public speaking, researching and record keeping skills.
Participants may choose a topic from which they can research, do a presentation and a complete a portfolio.
“I am so proud of 4-H’ers for their extraordinary work at District Project Achievement.” said Jessica Dorsey, Dougherty County 4-H program assistant with the University of Georgia College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.
Youth participating in this year’s Junior/Senior Project Achievements were Danielle Keith, 1st in Fashion Revue; Lamancia Martin, 1st in Cat Care; Dominique Davis, 2nd in Food Safety and Preservation; Julian Thomas, 3rd in Sports; Olivia Ladin, 3rd Performing Arts Vocal; Charlie Baker, 3rd in Performing Arts Dance; Nubia Griffin, 4th in Performing Arts Instrumental; Jocelyn Jordan, 5th in Performing Arts Vocal; A’Jay Jones, 5th in Public Speaking; Adam Landin, 6th in Performing Arts Instrumental; Jayda Robinson, 8th in Public Speaking and Ajah Jackson, 5th in Performing Arts Instrumental.
