Police/Fire/EMS report for March 3, 2012

ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 34 incidents Thursday and into the early hours of Friday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Drunken driving on the 2600 block of Gillionville Road;

— Entering auto on the 300 block of South Valencia Street and the 800 block of North Westover Bulletin;

— Theft by taking on the 600 block of North Westover Boulevard, the 500 block of Swift Street and the 1600 block of North Madison Street;

— Burglary on the 200 block of Pinebluff Road and the 2200 block of South Jackson Street;

— Aggravated assault on the 400 block of Medlock Court;

— Motor vehicle theft on the first block of Dobbs Drive and the 200 block of North Broadway Street;

— False imprisonment on the 300 block of Carriage Lane;

— Reckless conduct on the 2400 block of Nottingham Way;

— Disorderly conduct on the 500 block of Holloway Avenue and the 2400 block of Dawson Road;

— Simple battery (domestic) on the 300, the 1600 block of Gadsden Avenue and the 1400 block of South Harding Street;

— Assault (domestic) on the 200 block of Cordele Road;

— Domestic (unfounded) on the 1900 block of Buck Lane, the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, the 2500 block of Hilltop Drive and the 2200 block of Champaign Lane;

— False imprisonment, battery (domestic) on the 1300 block of Colquitt Avenue.

DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 64 calls on Thursday.

There were 48 medical calls, 15 trauma calls and one other-type call. Medical Calls: seven chest pains, six respiratory issues, two faintings, two diabetic issue, one seizure, two strokes, six miscellaneous pain calls and 22 various medical; Trauma calls: five vehicle crash victims, six falls, one laceration, two fight/assaults and one other trauma. Other type calls are typically medical alerts or standby.

ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to eight events and incidents, including a fire prevention program, assistance to EMS, carbon monoxide from vehicle running in garage, two activated alarms, a false alarm, power line snagging a balloon and a smoke scare.
