Well, the squawk isn't about restricting access to birth control. It's actually quite vague about what it even means. But as for your statement, no one wants to "restrict access to birth control". It's available at every health department in the United States, it's available at every Planned Parenthood in the United States, it's available through every OB-GYN in the United States, and it's available at every drug store in the United States. So, as you can see, it's not at all restricted, and no one wants to restrict it. Personally, I wish more people would use it! What conservatives want, though, is for everyone who wants to screw to be responsible and to pay for their own pills, condoms, etc. Having sex is not a health care issue or a disease, but a lifestyle choice -- a recreational activity.

First, birth control is available to everyone. The debate is about who should pay for you and your neighbors birth control method.
Second, Democrats may or may not want to get into your bedroom but there is no argument that they want to get into your wallet.
Finally, a saying by George Bernard Shaw hits home with today's government and the way it has evolved over the last 60 years:
"A government which robs Peter to pay Paul, can always depend on the support of Paul."
