Jo Neal Freeman, wife of Albany State University President Everette Freeman, has died.
The University issued a press release confirming her passing.
“Mrs. Jo Neal Freeman, First Lady of Albany State University It is with much despair and regret that we inform you of the passing of the First Lady of Albany State University, Mrs. Jo Neal Freeman.
“Your prayers are solicited on behalf of President Everette Freeman and his family during this time of bereavement. Due to the large volume of calls and concerns, expressions of sympathy should be directed via email to [email protected] and to Albany State University, the Office of the President at 504 College Drive Albany,GA 31705.
“Final arrangements for Mrs. Freeman are pending at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the ASU Foundation Jo Neal Freeman Memorial Scholarship Fund.”
