Stephanie Emilin Pate & Rhett Marcus Roberts

Mr. and Mrs. William Callier Pate of Albany, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ms. Stephanie Emilin Pate, to Mr. Rhett Marcus Roberts, both of Milledgeville, Ga.

Mr. Roberts is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Gene Armour and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Cline Roberts, Jr., all of Milledgeville.

The bride-elect is a graduate of St. Teresa Catholic School and Westover Comprehensive High School in Albany. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Darton College in Albany, a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, and a Master of Arts degree in English, both from Georgia State College and University in Milledgeville. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society. Ms. Pate is an English professor at Georgia Military College in Milledgeville.

Ms. Pate is the sister of Ms. Julie Alison Pate of Atlanta, Ga. Her grandparents are Mrs. Emogene Burnum Jarvis Kirkland of Camilla, Ga., the late Mr. Sidney Coplin Jarvis of Baker County, Ga., the late Mr. James Edgar Kirkland of Abbeville, AL, Mrs. Harvey Jackson Pate and the late Mr. Pate of Albany. She is the great-niece of Mrs. Faye Jarvis Nesbitt and the late Mr. James W. Nesbitt of Albany, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmer C. Keeffe of Nashville, Ga.

The groom-elect is a graduate of Baldwin High School in Milledgeville. He was a sergeant in The United States Army for 10 years in which time he served twice overseas. Currently attending Georgia Military College, Mr. Roberts is a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

Mr. Roberts is the brother of Mr. Dean Griffin and Mr. Darryl Griffin, both of Milledgeville, Mr. Keith Howard of Rutledge, Ga., Mr. Ron Armour of Chicago, IL., and Mrs. Nichole Cobb of Milledgeville.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Tom Smith, Jr. of Gordon, Ga. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Cline Roberts of Sparta, Ga.

A spring wedding is planned at the bride's ancestral farm in Baker County, Georgia.
