PELHAM — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Thomasville office said Monday there were no new developments to report regarding the fatal shooting of a naked man in Pelham Friday afternoon.
A supervising agent at the GBI office said that the man has been identified, but authorities would be unable to release his name due to pending notification of kin.
The man was fatally shot by a police officer while in a wooded area near the 500 block of Liberia Street, GBI special agent-in-charge Steve Turner told The Albany Herald Friday.
Turner said Monday that the man was not armed at the time of the shooting.
