ALBANY -- Robbers shot out a man's eye while he prepared dinner on a grill behind his residence in Paradise Village on the 600 block of Holly Drive the day after Christmas.
A Dougherty County grand jury on Wednesday handed down indictments against three men in connection with the armed robbery.
Cavoris K. Harvey, Cedrick "Kidco" Wingfield and Nathan Witter were indicted for three counts aggravated assault, three counts possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and one count each aggravated battery and armed robbery.
Wingfield and Witter were also indicted for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Harvey was indicted for possession of a firearm by a first offender felony burglar probationer.
The grand jury also indicted Phillip Lamar Davis, aka Davis Phillip, on two counts of cruelty to children in the first degree. According to the indictment, on Nov. 17 Davis maliciously punched a boy in the face and stomach, kicked him in the back and stomach, placed him in a choke hold and slammed him to the ground.
