Police/Fire/EMS - March 8, 2012

ALBANY -- Albany police responded to at least 48 incidents Tuesday into the early hours of Wednesday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:

-- Entering autos on the 1200 block of 11th Avenue and the 1000 block of Ware Street;

-- Terroristic threats on the 1300 block of 11th Avenue;

-- Injured person on the 1900 block of West Highland Avenue;

-- Aggravated assault on the 1300 block of Estelle Street;

-- Robbery by force on the 500 block of Odom Avenue;

-- Burglaries on the 500 block of Jeffries Avenue, the 1500 block of Whitney Drive, the 2600 block of Gillionville Road and the 500 block of 10th Avenue;

-- Two thefts by taking on the 300 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and one on the 2100 block of Leonard Avenue;

-- Financial transaction card fraud on the 1900 block of Schley Avenue;

-- Runaway juvenile on the 200 block of Pine Avenue;

-- Missing person on the 200 block of East Road;

-- Disorderly conduct on the 2600 block of Rosebrier Avenue;

-- Dog bite on the 1300 block of West Second Avenue;

-- Simple battery on the 200 block of South Shadowlawn Drive;

-- Missing juveniles on the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue and the 2300 block of Cinnamon Court;

-- Child molester on the 600 block of Sand Avenue;

-- Battery (domestic) on the 2400 block of Johnson Street and the 400 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

-- Assault (domestic) on the 2500 block of West Slappey Boulevard;

-- Domestic disturbances (unfounded) on the 600 block of 10th Avenue, the 200 block of Gail Avenue, the 2500 block of South Washington Street, the 300 block of West Mercer Street, the 300 block of Flintside Drive, the 300 block of Mercer Street and the 2300 block of Alameda Lane.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least seven calls Wednesday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:

-- Juvenile complaint on the 4800 block of Impala Drive;

-- Animal call; man's dog euthanized due to neglect. According to the report, Christopher Tedesco was cited for inhumane treatment of an animal on the 500 block of Old Pretoria Road;

-- Fraud on the 200 block of Gatewood Drive.

ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to 13 incidents Wednesday, including forced entry for EMS to enter a building, helped lift patient into ambulance, two cardiac arrests, first aid rendered, an electric short, four false alarms, a vehicle fire and two separate structure fires which caused $3,500 in damage each.
