Squawk of the Day - March 10, 2012

"The judge said there were irregularities in the election. That should have been ample grounds to call for a new and fair election. Instead we got more buck-passing. How do these people get elected?"

Commissioner “No-Shame” Hines did NOT win the case he was Given a Dismissal of the case on a Technicality. Just as Commissioner “No-Shame” did NOT Win the Commission race he was Given the seat on a Technicality. He has proved his compassion for his constituents by not allowing everyone to vote in a run-off.

“Pizz on everyone who did not vote for me your voice does not matter to me.” He sold his integrity for the 200 plus votes he ignored.

This was Not a HONEST “Win” it was only a technical victory and a BIG negative for his integrity.

With Politicians like this, is it any wonder we wind up with Judges who beat their wives or get caught DUI and still remain on the bench judging people who do these same criminal acts. One hand washes the Other.

Amen, Abytaxpayer. You hit the nail on the head. If Ivy Hines had one morsel of integrity in his little finger, he would have turned down the "win" and insisted on a redo.

It gets down to some people being selfish & greedy. They don't care about anybody else and they don't care about how they got there as long as they got there. Win by any means necessary. Integrity is not in their vocabulary. That goes for DCSS SI Murfree as well.

Like the squawk said, "we get more buck--passing How do these people get elected?." Simple.... He who passes the bucks, gets the victory==

He wants the win more than he values his integrity. Most politicians have none, so does it surprise you?

I'm not sure if we need a better class of politician or a better class of electorate. Maybe we need both. But in any event, we sure do need something that is better 'cause things ain't working well these days.

Don't blame the judge if the complaint was not correctly served. At least he had the gumption to comment on the irregularities. That's all he could do. Thank him for that.

Cart you are right. Thanks to the judge for speaking out. He was forced to rule on a Technicality of the case and not the merits. Kind of makes you wonder if he was saying you win this round but your time is coming. Not much question Hines would have won in a runoff but his lack of integrity about the runoff and his actions so far on the Commission has proved what kind of leader he is for his constitutes.

The biggest problem, and everybody knows it but some will deny it, is that we have too many crackhead voters out there.

I don't know how many crackheads vote but we have a lot of others including well educated people who don't vote or don't know what they are voting for.
